Founded in 1972 and voted "Best in the Bay", Roughing It is owned and personally directed by Hobie and Ann Woods, who have over 70 years of combined experience in organized summer camps and youth leadership. Roughing It offers 2, 4, and 8 week programs for children 4 1/2 - 16 years of age. Campers take part in a balanced variety of activities that emphasis personal growth, skill development, and fun! Activities include Horseback Riding, Trail Riding, Animal Care, Fishing, Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Swimming, Adventure, Sports, Crafts, Outdoors, Environment, Traditional Camp Games, and more.
