Summer Friends Day Camps are known for having an interesting variety of camps; low staff to camper ratios; experienced, caring adults responsible for each program, excellent facilities and a beautiful, wooded campus. We are located on Sandy Spring Friends School's 140-acre campus, near Olney, Wheaton and Silver Spring.

We offer five different types of camps: general, art, academic enrichment, activity and sports, such as Artist's Choice; Recycled Art; Drama; Dance Combo; Play with Words; Cooking; Fabric, Paper & Scissors; Basketball; Volleyball; Polon Pride Soccer; Sports Galore; Day Ventures; Fishing; Counselor-in-Training; Critters; Adobe PhotoShop; Rocketry; Robotics Junior; Backyard Science; Geology; General Camps; Museum Trippers; Ancient Egypt and WhoDunit Camp? . . and more.

Activities: All camps include participation in any of the following: water play, challenge course games, live shows, ropes course elements, art, music, fair days, swimming, field trips, playground freeplay, computer lab time and Friday Clubs.

Resident Camp Conowingo is 600 acres of forest and fields adjacent to the Susquehanna River in Conowingo, Cecil County, Maryland. The property is composed of nine parcels acquired by Girl Scouts of Central Maryland between 1955 and 1973, including Bell Manor, a historic Victorian home from the 1860's which is currently being renovated to return it to its original 1867 charm. Activities at Camp Conowingo include Tennis, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Ropes Course, Hiking, Fishing, Nature and Ecology. You do not have to be a Girl Scout to attend.

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland also offers day camp opportunities from mid-June through mid-August of each year.

Since 1983, TIC has offered Washington DC area boys and girls ages 7 to 16 a day camp program that develops mind and body: three hours of technology balanced by three hours of vigorous athletics. With a 4:1 camper/staff ratio, TIC provides truly personal instruction, and kids learn by having fun!

Four two-week summer sessions in which a camper designs his/her own project in one of the following: programming, video, animation, robotics, web design, graphics, newspaper, digital music, or digital photography. Sports include soccer, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, flag football, gymnastics.

A non-denominational Christian camp located on the Chesapeake Bay. Both overnight and day camp programs are offered for ages 4-15. A "Leader in Training" program is available for teens ages 14-18. All programs run in eight one week sessions, beginning in mid-June and running through mid-August. Refer to website for exact dates and costs.

Wabanna's summer programs provide a fun-filled, action-packed, and spiritually focused experience. Activities include: sailing, boating, tubing, team building, indoor/outdoor climbing wall, 50' giant swing, arts/crafts, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, group games, crabbing, sports, archery, and much more!

Camp Pecometh is the place to come for fun and fellowship. Our summer camp provides kids from K-12 with a traditional Christian summer program, with six-day Overnight sessions, five-day Day camp sessions, and two sessions of Mini-Camp for he younger campers. Water, Fun and Sun!

Camp Pecometh has aquatics, adventure, traditional and specialty programs.
