Day Camps in New Jersey- Hunterdon, Somerset & Mercer Counties

Now in its Silver Anniversary year, SIG offers 20 day and residential programs across the country for gifted and academically talented students who have completed grades K-11. Our 3 week programs help enrich students' lives by creating a community of like-minded peers where students can think, learn, and socialize within a safe environment, gaining independence and self-confidence.

Our residential programs, for eligible students who have completed grades 4-11, are located at Amherst College (MA), Bryn Mawr College (PA), Emory University (GA), Princeton University (NJ), UC Berkeley (CA), UCLA (CA), UTAustin (TX), and Vassar College (NY).

Our day programs, for students who have completed K-6, are located at Bryn Mawr College (PA), Fairfield University (CT), Moorestown Upper Elementary (NJ), Manhattanville College (NY), Stuart Country Day School (NJ), Hillbrook School (CA), Out-of-Door Academy (FL), Galloway School (GA), and Boston University Academy, (MA). All Children's Theatre Summer Performing Arts Day Camps are held at air-conditioned sites in 9 towns and 7 counties in northern and central New Jersey. We offer 14 two-week sessions for boys and girls ages 6-17 including "BROADWAY KIDS", "DISNEY KIDS", "CREATIVE DRAMATICS", and "COMEDY". A mini-camp is also offered for 4-5 year olds.

Participants need not have prior theatre experience to register. They become involved with singing, dancing, acting, scenery design(painting or collage) all culminating with a dress rehearsal and performance(s)for family and friends on the evening of the 10th camp day. Morning and afternoon snacks provided. Campers' lunches are refrigerated on site. All camps are supervised by certified teachers with experience in children's theatre. Our motto is "WHERE EVERY CHILD IS A STAR".

Rambling Pines Day Camp has been owned and operated by the Jordan family since 1976. We provide transportation, daily lunch (including a fantastic cookout on Fridays), and a daily afternoon snack. The sprawling campus, on 225 acres, includes 2 lakes, 4 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, 4 GaGa court, numerous sports fields, a gymnasium, extensive indoor facilities, an 18 hole mini-golf course, a low ropes challenge course, a golf driving range, mountain biking trails and much more! Two registered nurses are on duty during camp hours.

Rambling Pines' mature, experienced staff will provide your child with instruction in swimming, arts & crafts, computers, dancing, drama, fishing, gymnastics, golf, music, nature study, soccer, softball, tennis, street hockey, mountain biking, basketball, volleyball, boating, ceramics... and more. Horsebacking riding is also available. Children learn and grow in our safe, nurturing environment.

We cater to the camper's likes and needs and offer a balanced program to satisfy all tastes.

Activities include: Archery, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Gymnastics, Kickball, Miniature Golf, Soccer, Softball, Street Hockey, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, T-Ball.

Winnewald, in the heart of Clinton Township, is Hunterdon's only private day camp. Winnewald has been an approved member of the American Camping Association (ACA) since 1968. Annual approval by the Hunterdon County and New Jersey Departments of Health is also received. Member, Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.

Winnewald is located on 20 acres close to Routes 31 and 629. A running stream, well-maintained grounds, mature trees, heated swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis court, archery range, and athletic fields make it a desirable place for children to spend the summer. Our staff, mainly certified teachers and college students, is selected to give your child the special attention and supervision necessary to promote a positive, Safe, and enjoyable camp experience. Staff training in safety and working with children is ongoing. Camper to staff ratio is approximately seven to one. All potential staff members are personally interviewed and references verified.
