| Bookmark Farm's Horse Lovers Day Camp | |
| Coed Horseback Riding Day Camp | near Columbus, in Pataskala, Ohio |
| Located in Central Ohio's beautiful horse country, Bookmark Farms Horse Lover's Day Camp is designed to be fun and educational. Depending on your child's needs, the camp serves as both a good intro to the basics of riding and being around horses, or a way to further a camper's previous riding experience. Campers learn to ride in the English Hunt-Seat style and can expect to ride every day. And, on the last day of camp, parents are invited to watch campers as they show off their new skills atop their favorite Bookmark Farms horse or pony. Younger campers (ages 4-6) start with the basics of riding and horse care. Safe handling and understanding of animals is emphasized. Older children (7+) focus on developing a greater understanding of the Hunt-Seat riding style. Time is spent on the many responsibilities involved in horse care including grooming, using equipment, feeding and barn work. Every camper rides every day. Horse-related games and crafts as well as playtime and farm fun round out a week of horsin' around. Bookmark Farms is located just east of Columbus, Ohio on 33-acres of pastureland. Our horses and ponies are sweet and gentle and looking forward to meeting you! |
